Health Risks

rsz_shutterstock_75311899There has never been a more important time for parents to learn everything they can about the health hazards that surround us.

Let’s face it – more American children are SICK than healthy.  A study published in the 2011 Academic Pediatrics revealed that 54% of American children suffer with a developmental delay or a chronic illness…. 54%!  This equates to more than 32 million children that have lost the opportunity to have a healthy childhood and grow into healthy adults.  A lot of expecting parents may feel like the odds of having a healthy baby are like flipping a coin…

However, having a healthy child is dictated by luck or chance.  There is an ever-growing body of evidence that exposes not only those things in our environment, but also common medical practices that put children most at risk.  Parents CANNOT afford to be careless in either of these areas because having a sick child costs the whole family far more than just financially.

Think about it… have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches always been outlawed in school because deadly allergies are so common?  Have schools always been filled with ever-expanding special needs students?  Have we ever seen an era when nearly as many children were on one or more pharmaceutical drugs?

An honest answer to all of these questions is NO.

Within the first two years of life, our children have more “well baby” check-ups, receive more drugs and have more medical attention than most people received in five decades in the last generation.  And what do we have to show for it?  The sickest children ever.

Don’t let your children be one of the 54 percent.  Learn about the health risks facing American families.  Protect your children and give them the best gift you ever could – the opportunity to be healthy.
